Drop Lists

We provide lists of .uk names that are expected to drop on each particular day of the week. These lists comprise ~1000 names per day, and are sent out about 1 week in advance of the anticipated drop date, and are listed by day to avoid confusion. The cost for this service is £50 per month. There is no ongoing commitment other than the monthly fee.

New: Early Bird Drop Lists

DropSystem are now offering the opportunity for clients to obtain drop lists further into the future, as well as the standard week in advance delivery.

This new system will allow clients to purchase larger lists in advance for scanning and research purposes. More importantly, it will allow them to place backorders with us and other catchers that employ the 'first come, first served' rule with their bookings.

Booking names into the future does present a problem; in that if a name is renewed, the booking will become useless, but in order to minimise this problem, we are supplying two free software packages to clients to aid in last-minute checking. These packages will run on your local Windows machine, or in a Windows VM/emulator if you run Linux:

1. DAC subscribers

DAC Research Tool. Uses your existing DAC account with Nominet. Will check as many domains as you care to input, subject to your DAC quota. The fully-functional beta version is now available, with no quantity limitation. A final version will be released shortly.

2. Non-DAC subscribers

A whois parser which anyone can use, with or without a DAC account. Limited to 1,000 lookups per 24-hour period as per Nominet's T&Cs. Anticipated availability: 22nd April 2009.

30 Day Subscription pricing is as follows:

Early Bird 2 (2 weeks advanced drop lists)=£200
Early Bird 3 (3 weeks advanced drop lists)=£350
Early Bird 4 (4 weeks advanced drop lists)=£500

Please note: We are now checking the status of our public bookings each day. If a name has been renewed or is not due to drop on the date it was booked for, it will be removed and any refund issued. If you don't want the hassle of paying up-front for your backorders with us, then please write to support@dropsystem.co.uk and apply for our 'Preferred Client' account. This will give you a credit account and we will bill you for caught names. We may require a nominal bond payment, at our discretion.
